Harrington Falls Neighborhood Information

Harrington Falls Pool, Tennis Courts, Playground and Club House

The handsome club house is the social center for Harrington Falls and is home to the neighborhood’s generously sized swimming pool, playground and four lighted tennis courts. The neighborhood hosts an ALTA tennis league and youth swim teams at these facilities.

A variety of shopping and retail areas are close to Harrington Falls including Historic Downtown Alpharetta, Historic Shops of Crabapple, Windward Parkway, and North Point Mall/North Point Parkway.

Historic Downtown Alpharetta
Enjoy browsing through treasures in the antique stores and specialty shops along Main Street in the Historic Downtown district. Art galleries range from contemporary to eye-popping folk art. Smart boutiques, interesting gift shops, along with house and garden specialty emporiums will satisfy your wishes as you find exactly what you’ve been searching for. The Main Street Market, held the third weekend of each month from April to October, showcases the work of a wide variety of artists. When you feel like a break, stop in at one of our tea rooms, sandwich shops or full service restaurants and enjoy a delicious, relaxing repast.


Historic Shops of Crabapple
The Crabapple Community in Alpharetta has been known as an antique haven since 1969. Crabapple, once used as Cherokee Indian paths, is home today to the Shops of Crabapple, a cluster of boutique shops and restaurants.

North Point Mall / North Point Parkway
Upscale and sophisticated North Point Mall features a variety of stylish, well-known, and one-of-a-kind retailers. Brimming with the latest fashion trends for the entire family, you can easily shop the day away in hundreds of stores. The food court serves up tasty quick bites or enjoy a sit-down meal at one of several popular restaurants. Every age delights in riding the vintage-style carousel, and it is just like you remember. The area around North Point Mall is full of additional retailers stocked with everything from furniture to spas and even more restaurants.

Big Creek Greenway
Big Creek Greenway is a 6.1 mile trail system that runs along Big Creek in Alpharetta from Mansell Road north to Webb Bridge Road.  The Greenway features a 12-foot wide concrete meandering path through the woods that is perfect for walkers, joggers, bladers, strollers, and wheelchairs.  Big Creek Greenway can be accessed in the following areas:  1)  The North Point Village Retail Center; 2) North Point Parkway near Haverty's Furniture (across from North Point Mall); 3)  Haynes Bridge Road, across from Cameron Apartments; 4) Alpharetta YMCA on Preston Ridge Road, 5) Rock Mill Park on Kimball Bridge Road.

This 12,000 seat state of the art venue is expected to hold approximately 55 events during its 2008 inaugural year including concerts, community events and movie nights. Concerts currently scheduled include Eagles, Rush, Steve Winwood, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is also the outdoor home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
